Our ever-popular slippers are made in possibly the last remaining hand-made slipper factory in France,
reminiscent of the story of the Elves and the Shoe-maker.
The slippers are made from the finest leather, with soft pigskin soles. They are hand sewn and hand turned,
the same way you would make a garment. All the seams are on the inside, which means only the softest
leathers can be used.
The slippers were originally made by two elderly French sisters, using the method which had been passed
down to them through generations. When they retired, Rachel bought their original machinery and lasts,
to avoid these techniques being lost for ever.
The choice of slippers has developed over time and now we offer them in quirky leopard print pony skin and
colourful metallics, alongside our classic, more traditional colours.
All of our slippers are lovingly wrapped in tissue and presented in a ribbon tied beautiful gift box.
If your size is not in stock, don’t worry! We can order a pair to be hand-made especially for you!
Due to the soft leathers and hand made techniques, we are also able to ease the leather to create a slightly
wider fit if required. Please call or email with your order details. Due to the popularity of our slippers,
some colours can take a few weeks to order.
