Celebrating Wool Week 2022
This year we are celebrating Wool Week 2022 with the launch of one of our softest collaborations to date... Rachel Riley x Smalls Merino! A collection of knit loungewear for babies, boys and girls, made from 100% ultrafine Merino wool.
Ultrafine Merino wool is a fibre that is ideal on sensitive skin due to its soft nature. It is breathable and hypoallergenic and as a result can improve eczema on little ones.
Each of the pieces in our collaboration can be used as both thermal layers (also ideal for skiing!) and sleep-wear, so that your child remains comfy and cosy all winter-long. The cost of a top is equivalent to 13 pence per wear over the course of the year.
Merino wool is one of the best ways to keep kids warm during the colder months. As a mother-of-three, we asked Rachel for her personal Top Tips on keeping cosy this winter:
- Cups of tea are essential, preferably with a shortbread!
- Layer up with a Merino wool vest.
- Keep cosy with a Cashmere bobble hat and matching gloves.
With sustainability at the forefront of any product we bring to life, it was important for us to join forces as like-minded businesses who hold the highest standards when it comes to the environment. The wool used in this collaboration can be traced all the way back to the farm where the sheep roam free in the Southern Alps of New Zealand.
