A Day at the Seaside

'Behind the Scenes' on our SS19 Photoshoot

We have a lot of fun on our photoshoots, and for SS19 we headed to the beautiful South coast to capture some magic! The sun was shining and the sea was glistening as we set to work shooting this season's latest outfits against the backdrop of pretty pastel beach huts. 

With a fantastic group of mini models, we certainly had 'fun in the sun'!

Rachel and her husband, the renowned photographer Daniel Jouanneau, enjoy the collaborative process from initial concepts to final photo, it involves lots of creativity and energy. The final photos always take our breath away, we always say that Daniel sprinkles some magic dust on the pictures!

Sometimes it can take many attempts to capture the perfect shot, "everyone look in this direction please!" We love the matching family photos, especially against the perfect colour backdrop!

Props play a big part of our photoshoots, the right accessories help us to capture the best photos! Our inflatable swan is one of our favourites as well as this vintage pastel tea-set from Rachel's personal collection! A vintage car always makes for the perfect set prop. We used a 1950's period Ford Zodiac for this shoot. 

At the end of a busy day we always take time to ensure we have captured everything we need. Looking back through the photos reminds us of how much fun we have had! Lots of laughter and running around and with many of our models - new friendships made!

"That's a wrap!" Rachel shouts at the end of the shoot & we feel very pleased with what we have accomplished.
